Alpine Geotechnical provides comprehensive geotechnical investigation, engineering, and consulting services to support projects from preliminary design through construction.

Our engineering team has experience with a wide range of commercial and residential projects, including building foundations, retaining structures, slopes, roadways, pile foundations, and pile load and verification observations. Geotechnical work is performed from our Kalispell, Montana office and overseen by Kagan M. Rutz, P.E., who brings more than 15 years of geotechnical investigation, engineering, and consulting experience in the Flathead Valley and its complex glacial geology.

Our services include geotechnical investigations, drilling, SCPT, infiltration testing, laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and consulting.

Alpine Geotechnical primarily serves the Flathead Valley and northwest Montana, including Kalispell, Columbia Falls, Whitefish, and Bigfork. We also periodically take on projects in Polson, Ronan, Eureka, West Glacier, Libby, and surrounding communities.

As a full-service geotechnical engineering firm, our drilling crews are primarily dedicated to Alpine Geotechnical projects. Because our in-house work takes priority, we currently have limited availability for subcontract drilling.
